In vitro study | Dydrogesterone acts on endothelial cells alone or in combination with estrogens, producing a neutral effect on NO synthesis and on the activity and expression of eNOS. |
In vivo study | Dydrogesterone abolished the stress-induced increase in miscarriage rate in mice. Dydrogesterone brought the percentage of CD8 uterine cells back to the level of control mice. Dydrogesterone significantly reduced the relative number of mouse TNF-α-producing uterine cells after 7.5,9.5, and even 10.5 days in mice. When Dydrogesterone acted on stressed mice, the percentage of uterine cells IL-4 pregnancy protection increased 7.5 days after the start of pregnancy, and even more significantly, and this increase continued until day 10.5. Dydrogesterone abolished the elevated rate of miscarriage in mice subjected to sound stress. Dydrogesterone acts on stressed mice and increases plasma PIBF levels, but does not affect progesterone levels. Dydrogesterone significantly increased the percentage of IL-4-positive decidual immune cells in stressed mice. |
