Thymosin beta-4 is a protein made up of 43 amino acids encoded by the human gene TMSB4X. It has been studied in a number of clinical trials. Studies have shown that if the thymosin beta-4 peptide is used after a heart attack, it can reactivate cardiac progenitor cells to repair damaged heart tissue.
It was identified as a gene that is upregulated four to six times during early angiogenesis and was found to promote the growth of new blood cells in existing blood vessels. This peptide is present in wound fluids and, when administered subcutaneously, promotes wound healing, muscle construction and increases the recovery time of muscle fibers and their cells.
T'B-500 is the synthetic portion of the protein thymosin beta-4 and is present in almost all human and animal cells. The main purpose of this peptide is to promote healing.
