Introduce,
Simvastatin is a statin lipid-lowering drug, a synthetic derivative of the fermentation product of Aspergillus terreus, and is used to control blood cholesterol levels and prevent cardiovascular diseases. Simvastatin belongs to methylhydroxyglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-COA) reductase inhibitor, inhibits the synthesis of endogenous cholesterol, and is a blood lipid regulator. It can reduce the cholesterol (TC) content in the serum, liver and aorta of hyperlipidemia rabbits, and reduce the level of very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C).
